Who are we?

​

Masana is a Non-Profit Organisation that aims to empower young South Africans through skills development programmes, entrepreneurship programmes, Leadership and mentorship programmes. We aim to do this through enablement by various technology innovations as these can be key drivers of real and effective change in socio-economic issues face by the majority of millennials today.

Vision

 

Use technology as an enabler to create a conducive skills development platform and empower young people to secure employment and become social entrepreneurs who create sustainable and innovative solutions to better their communities.

Mission

 

Close the skills gap in the ICT sector by facilitating various skills development programmes and by creating a network between corporates, state entities and job seeking candidates in order for them to meet and acquire/provide employment. We also aim to use technology and innovation to as ultimate enablers to enhance social entrepreneurship and empower young women.

Objectives

​

•1. Bridge the skills gap in the job market by upskilling unemployed youth and graduates who would have not gotten the opportunity to learn these skills and thus allowing potential employers ease of access to a pool of skilled candidates.

•2. Empower women and girls through various programmes enabled by technology and innovation.

•3. Introduce and develop the coding language to the youth in townships and rural settlements in order to create employment and entreprenuership opportunities.

•4. Provide a platform where entrepreneurs can acquire business skills and access to the main stream economic ecosystem of South Africa.

•5.Introduce an automated monitoring and evaluation system to NPOs, CSI departments and funding corporates.
